I am a complete beginner in yoga. Can I come to class?

If you have no prior experience in Yoga, we will schedule a private session before starting the Self Practice Cycle (included in the 8-Week Cycle costs). After meeting you it will be possible for me to understand which asana sequence will suit you best and we will work on that during the Self Practice Cycle.

Do you teach traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga?

I teach traditional yoga. I look at YOU and with the knowledge that my teachers have transmitted to me over the years, and my personal experience, I do my best to guide you in developing YOUR personal practice.
This means that it can be a ‘traditional’ Ashtanga Yoga practice if that is what you want and what suits you. It can be an adapted Ashtanga Yoga practice. It could be a Hatha Yoga practice. It can be only breathing and Yoga Nidra. Every individual’s practice is different, and will most probably also change over time. The objective is to work together to find what works for YOU.

Do you give hand-on adjustments?

I do, minimally. I believe adjustments can help to give you an indication or direction of where to orient your body, breath or mind. However I also think that we should respect the expression of the posture as it varies with time, season, age, emotional state etc.
Not everyone want to receive hands-on adjustments and I completely understand and respect that. I always ask for permission and I encourage you to tell me what you want and especially what you do not want.

I am not really interested in the seated practices, can I just come to practice?

You can!! The seated practices will only take 20-30 minutes at the beginning of each class. You are welcome to start your practice afterwards, around 7:30 on Wednesdays and 8:30 on Sundays. Maybe with time you will become curious and then you are always welcome to join!
